Animal Rescue Tasmania

Tasmania has an overpopulation of dogs and cats, with many stray and abandoned animals ending up in our already over packed shelters.  We support several animal shelters with discounted veterinary work for their stray and abandoned animals.  We provide veterinary support through services like x-rays, surgery, desexing, dentistry, vaccination, microchipping and health exams.

With many staff having previous shelter experience, we know only too well the pressure on these organisations to keep up with veterinary services and the associated costs.  We invite all shelter animals to be patients after their adoption.  When we see them return to the practice after rehoming, we are often found checking out their new ‘bling’, happy faces and loving families.  Help us help the homeless Tasmanian animals.

Make a donation to the ‘Help a pet you’ve never met’ Fund

• I would like to make a one-off donation – Make a one-off donation and pick the area where you would like your gift to be used.
• I would like to make a regular donation – If you would like to become a permanent ‘Help a pet you’ve never met’ donor you can still select your preferred donation area. Members will receive a welcome pack and be kept updated on the animals that have benefited from this fund. There is no minimum donation amount and gifts can be stopped or changed at any time.

If you cannot afford a donation, you can still show your support by using your Community Veterinary Hospital as your regular vet. The profits gained allow us provide more charity work to those animals who are in need.
